Thomas & Betts Ground Clamps
Thomas & Betts offers a wide range of grounding options for water pipes for both above and below ground situations. The water pipe Ground Clamp from Thomas & Betts is UL rated for direct burial and comes CSA approved for that application. The ground clamp comes in a variety of sizes for pipes ranging as small as 1/2” and as large as 12” in diameter. All available sizes of ground clamps can terminate #4 to #4/0 AWG cables.

- 3902BU is for water pipes that range ½” to 1”
- 3903BU is for water pipes that range 1-1/4” to 2”
- 3904BU is for water pipes that range 2-½” to 3-1/2”
- 3905BU is for water pipes that range 4” to 5”
- 3906BU is for water pipes that are 6”
- 3907BU is for water pipes that are 8”
- 3908BU is for water pipes that are 10”
- 3909BU is for water pipes that are 12””
Designed for waterpipe application, the ground clamp goes around the pipe and using the saddle as a brace, clamps around the pipe, forming a solid connection. The ground clamp is rated for direct burial but may also be used for above ground applications. The included cable saddle allows for clamp on connections of #4-#4/0 AWG Cables, but with the use of a crimp lug smaller cable may also be attached.
