3M Scotch Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape 130C

3M 130C

When completing a 3-tape splice, Scotch Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape 130C is a key component, and the second of 3 layers applied. Designed to provide excellent thermal dissipation, the 130C is rated for up to 90°C of continuous operating temperature and short-term 130°C. The rubber tape is designed for elongation when applied, which helps provide a moisture seal around the connection. The 130C is rated for low voltage and high voltage (through 69kV) applications.

Scotch Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape 130C Is the second layer applied in a three-tape splice. Starting from the outer edge of the exposed area and working in, wrap the 130C around the splice so the inside layer of the tape is now on the outside of the splice. Slight elongation of the tape is recommended to ensure a secure wrap around the spliced area and to assist in the creation of a moisture seal.
When ordering Scotch 130C splicing tape, keep in mind the number of rolls required to complete the task. Also note if you require any Scotchfil and Scotch Super 33+  or Super 88 electrical tape to complete the three-tape splice.
